Eric Robison
Disney Artist & Imagineer
Eric Robison is an acclaimed Disney artist and former Imagineer whose vibrant, interpretive paintings of classic Disney characters have captivated fans worldwide. Since his first Goofy painting debuted at the Disney Gallery in 1990, his work—now spanning more than 900 Disney art pieces—has been featured internationally through limited edition lithographs, posters, and other collectibles.
A graduate with honors from ArtCenter College of Design, Eric joined Walt Disney Imagineering in 1987. As a concept designer, he contributed to landmark projects for Disneyland Resort Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, Walt Disney World Resort, and Disneyland Resort in California. His character paintings were discovered by Imagineering President Marty Sklar in 1989, launching him into widespread recognition as a best-selling artist across Disney theme parks, galleries, and retail locations.
Eric’s notable Disney works include pieces for the 30th Anniversary of the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Matterhorn (a tribute to Herb Ryman), and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Beyond Disney, his 38-year creative career includes consulting for Gensler Architects, Hawaii Film Alliance, Apple + Chief of War, Disneyana Plus, Universal Studios and Warner Bros., as well as projects for the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing in Hawai‘i, NASA, and more.
Known for his bold, frenetic style, Eric paints with both brushes and his fingers to create richly textured, theatrical compositions. In 2001, Disneyland commissioned him to create 100 Mickey Mouse portraits for Walt Disney’s 100th birthday celebration—an exhibit that sold out in just three weeks. He later followed with 50 unique Donald Duck pieces for the opening of the Disney Store on Fifth Avenue in New York.
Eric’s recent Disney projects include anniversary artwork for Walt Disney World’s 50th, Shanghai Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland’s 40th, Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ 35th, the 30th Anniversary of the Tower of Terror, and Disneyland’s 50th Haunted Mansion. He recently just finished creating artwork for Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary celebration.
